One-line follow-up to #84, found while the drain was already running.

RADIANCE_CALIB_TOKENS=12000000 is a pooled floor and calib-7168.jsonl carries
10.03M tokens, so round 1 of a corpus push seals nothing by construction. #84's per-round
gate failed exactly there — the calibration window would have aborted ~18 h in, one round short.

round_verdict(before, after, done) now separates the cases:

verdict meaning action
done the engine logged that it sealed the tap stop, success
shrink the tap lost bytes (reset/replaced under us) fail the run
flat sealed nothing yet; the floor is pooled say so, continue
grew sealed bytes this round continue

A run that never sees the completion line still exits non-zero on max rounds, and the rig marker
from #84 remains the lock that stops a push into anything that is not the rig.

./tests/run.sh → 588 ok / 0 fail; the new case asserts all four verdicts behaviorally.

One-line follow-up to #84, found while the drain was already running. `RADIANCE_CALIB_TOKENS=12000000` is a **pooled floor** and `calib-7168.jsonl` carries **10.03M tokens**, so round 1 of a corpus push seals nothing by construction. #84's per-round gate failed exactly there — the calibration window would have aborted ~18 h in, one round short. `round_verdict(before, after, done)` now separates the cases: | verdict | meaning | action | |---|---|---| | `done` | the engine logged that it sealed the tap | stop, success | | `shrink` | the tap lost bytes (reset/replaced under us) | fail the run | | `flat` | sealed nothing yet; the floor is pooled | say so, continue | | `grew` | sealed bytes this round | continue | A run that never sees the completion line still exits non-zero on max rounds, and the rig marker from #84 remains the lock that stops a push into anything that is not the rig. `./tests/run.sh` → 588 ok / 0 fail; the new case asserts all four verdicts behaviorally. --- cwd: /home/blank/.omp/wt/wt-20261027-142335-6d1fc1f · session: 01a17f3f-3e2e-7509-aef8-be516c27cf98

RADIANCE_CALIB_TOKENS=12000000 is a pooled floor and calib-7168.jsonl carries 10.03M tokens, so
round 1 of a corpus push seals nothing by construction. The gate PR #84 added failed exactly
there, one round too early, while the drain was already running.

Now round_verdict() separates the cases: 'shrink' (the tap lost bytes) fails the run, 'flat' says
so and continues, 'grew' continues, 'done' stops. A run that never sees the engine's completion
line still exits non-zero on max rounds, and the rig marker remains the lock that stops a push
into anything that is not the rig.

Test: round_verdict's four verdicts, behaviorally.
